5 Practises to Continue Your Agamishaala Learnings
Revisiting some familiar practises from the experience.
We've put together 5 readings and tools with which you can continue practising some of the things you experienced at Shaala, on your own. Sharing them in the sequence in which the journey from sensing oneself to sensing the system has been designed. These follow the Theory U process and include Social Presencing Theatre tools.
20 minute dance, for tuning your self/instrument as Manish puts it, through practise. Watch and learn about the practise from its creator, visual artist, Arawana Hayashi, here.
If you'd like to learn how to conduct it yourself, refer to this here.
3D Modelling/Sculpting, a way of understanding your current reality/system and seeing emerging possibilities. About the exercise and how to do it, here.
Stuck excercise, the process by which one experiences going through the whole U journey by moving from Sculpture 1 (current reality) to Sculpture 2 (emerging future). About the exercise along with downloadable instructions, here.
4D Mapping, which makes visible the current reality in a social system, such as the criminal justice system, dispute resolution system and other such. Used with groups who are looking to gain new insights about their own system and with case givers who have a case they want to explore using this method. About the excercise along with downloadable instructions, here.
Guided Journaling, which invites practitioners into a process of self-reflection. The journaling questions too follow the U-process. More about it along with a list of questions, here.
Hope these are helpful. And if you would like to practise these together, do reach out and we'd be more than happy to help.
